Two Friends Addicted to Pinning

See what we're completely obsessed with!

We began our relationship with pinterest many years ago. Our past several classrooms plus this year's class themes began on a pinterest board. We have boards that range from class decor and organization to Health/Fitness and Recipes.

Hello, strangers! I've been away for a while but I have good reason. We bought a home here in Colorado. I'm uber excited to finally be adulting and be able to call myself a homeowner. I currently have a board for every corner of our new home. I'm most obsessed about my gym/home office/craft room. By the sound of it, it should probably be called a multipurpose room. The room is huge and we plan to use most of the space for the gym and put everything else in the large nook in the room. Either way, I can not wait until I have it all together to share photos with you all. In the meantime, check out my board below with ideas as I attempt to bring them all to life.

Below you will find my fasted growing board and I was very determined to recreate some of the things for my classroom. This year may be a little more difficult with this new 50% of the wall can not be covered rule that has been forced on us at my school. I did pretty well last year but this year may be slightly more difficult with all of these fire code rule. If you have an answer to my inquiry below please inform me since I'm dying to know the percent of students who have actually died in school fire versus other types of violence. Where's the data on that???? I hope that was not too insensitive but I truly would like to know since they are forces us to change the rooms and halls to resemble sterile hospitals.

One of my favorite boards besides my ever growing classroom decor board is my fashionable teacher board. I found that once I became a teacher there was this stigma attached of how I was supposed to dress ( dresses to my ankles, nothing was to ever be the least bit fitted ever again). No Way! was my response to that. I have found that you can look respectable and fashionable at the same time as well as save money ( because we all know us teachers aren't exactly rich!). So check out my "teacher outfits" on my Pinterest board below!

The board below has been growing for many years. I wanted to share this with you in the spirit of prepping for the upcoming school year. There are some things that I've done every single year and some things that I have let go of for what ever reason. I take pride in planning my first week of school, seeing that I will be making my first impressions on my students. What do you think? What are some activities you do every year? What is something new that you'd like to begin this year?
